Fashionclash Maastricht 2013 – Ima Mad

Mit dem zweiten Tag des Fashionclash Maastricht präsentierten sich am Abend über 22 internationale Designer in insgesamt drei Shows, lieferten jede Menge Eindrücke und unterschiedlichste Mode. Show Nummer drei enttäuschte zwar, doch mit den Folgeshows vier und fünf nahmen die Laufstegpräsentationen an Fahrt auf und setzten mit den folgenden Designern ihre Höhepunkte.

Die Italienerin Maddalena Mangiakavori ließ sich für ihre Kollektion „Forniphilia“ von der gesellschaftlichen Objektivierung der Frau inspirieren und schuf mit Möbelstoffen Designs die im harmonischen Einklang zur Wohnungseinrichtung stehen sollen. In mühevoller Handarbeit übernahm die Designerin die traditionellen italienischen Handwerkstechniken, wie Häkeln oder Lederbearbeitung und kreierte eine elegante Sammlung.

Mit der Kollektion „zAhrada/gArden“ präsentierte die tschechische Designerin Petra Ptáčková spannende Designs mit raffinierter Schnittführung, die zum Teil an die dekonstruktiven Looks von Comme des Garcons erinnerten. Mit ungewohnten Cut-Outs an der Brust, am Bauch oder im Hut überraschte die Kollektion und lud zum genauen Hinschauen und Entdecken ein.

„There Will Be No Battle On Somber Mountain“, so der Name der Kollektion des polnischen Designers Ima Mad, überzeugte mit einer roten Farbpalette und stimmigen Stilbrüchen. So kombinierte er einen sportlichen Jersey-Sweater zu einer Seiden-Pumphose mit Kimono-Schuhen oder setzte den Models eine an den Papst erinnernde Kopfbedeckung auf.

Der israelische Designer Amit Baruch lebt mittlerweile in London und zeigte unter dem Kollektionstitel „I Am Collecting Beautiful Objects“ aufregende Designs mit spannenden Details, wie einem Setzkasten als Rucksack oder kitschigem Katzenprints für den modernen Mann.

Hinter dem Label Dioralop steht das kroatische Designduo Andreja Bistricic und Maja Merlic, die mit ihrer düsteren AW13-Kollektion das Publikum in ihren Bann zogen. Inspiriert von den Subkulturen der Street Fashion und der Ästhetik von Polaroidbildern präsentieren sich schlingpflanzenähnliche Entwürfe, viele Cut-Outs, sowie verschiedene Materialkombinationen und Stofflagen. Im Weiteren spielt die Zahl 4 eine zentrale Rolle, die Elemente, Jahreszeiten und die Vollkommenheit symbolisierend. Diesem Gedanken folgend, kreierten die Designer vier verschiedene Drucke, von denen jeweils zwei für die Dunkelheit und zwei für das Licht stehen sollen.

Pierre Antoine Vettorello war bereits in der vierten Ausgabe des Fashionclash Maastricht ein Highlight und konnte auch zur Jubiläumsausgabe der Veranstaltung mit seiner neuen Kollektion überzeugen. Seine neue AW13-14 Kollektion mit dem Titel „Nicki MK13 Vs. Lady Rocket“  ist als Fortsetzung der vergangenen SS13 Saison mit dem Titel „Bonnie Magnum Vs. Samantha Beretta“ zu verstehen, zeigt sich inspiriert von Videofilmen und Kultfilmen mit furchterregenden, sowie selbstbewussten Frauen in den Hauptrollen.
