Nach dem Film „Format“ im Jahr 2011 kam es erneut zu einer Zusammenarbeit zwischen Cristian Straub und der Berliner Designerin Esther Perbandt. Die SS13 Kollektion „Timberwave“ verpackt in zarten Materialien, kombiniert zu raffinierten Silhouetten mit spannungsvollen Kontrasten beschäftigt sich mit der Idee eine Rüstung für die moderne Amazone zu schaffen.
Der neue Film produziert von Riese Farbaute, dem „German Showstudio“ präsentiert den zweiten Film der Designerin zur aktuellen Saison.

Mit dem Wunsch, den Film so minimalistisch wie möglich zu halten, wählte man einen weißen Raum, nur wenige Requisiten und näherte sich eher einer typischen Fotoshooting Kulisse, die Kleidung spricht dabei für sich selbst.
„I watched a lot of those photographers‘ videos and thought: why not approach the fashion film in a typical photoshoot setting and with a photographers eye, but with filmmakers‘ techniques“-
„Every fashion film needs a reason to be brought into life. Doesn’t always have to be a big innovation, sometimes it’s something rather small, like a visual experiment I’m interested in. For this film, it was more the approach which felt new, this editorial-like approach – a visual artist interprets a new designer’s collection. Usually something you’d expect from a photographer in Purple or Love Magazine. But why not in film and independently from print media? I instantly felt inspired by the new collection Esther was designing at the time, and we both felt that rather than to have just another film featuring the collection, we should try something new.
