Das Modemuseum der Provinz Antwerpen MoMu veranstaltet am 18.10.2007 das Symposium „Modus Operandi: State of Affairs in Current Research on Belgian Fashion“, das die gegenwärtige Situation und relevante Entwicklungen in der belgischen Mode thematisiert.

Zu diesem Zweck wurden für insgesamt 6 Vorträge nationale und internationale Gäste eingeladen, die ausgehend von ihrem jeweiligen Forschungsbereich historische sozio-ökonomische, anthropologische und künstlerische Aspekte der belgischen Mode untersuchen.

Zu ihnen gehören Kaat Debo (MoMu, Antwerp), V©ronique Pouillard (Universit© Libre de Bruxelles/Columbia University, N.Y.), Nele Bernheim (Hogeschool Antwerpen/Universiteit Antwerpen), Javier Gimeno Martínez (Katholieke Universiteit Leuven), An Moons (Vrije Universiteit Brussel), Todd Nicewonger (Columbia University, N.Y.) und Francesca Granata (Central Saint Martins, University of Arts London/Metropolitan Museum of Arts Costume Institute, N.Y.).
