The winner of the Summer 2007 +46 Awards is the danish fashion designer Nikoline Liv Andersen.

Andersen studied fashion at Danmarks Designskole, design and drawing at Akademiet for Tegning og Desig and has worked for John Galliano in Paris.

Andersen was selected by a jury that consisted of Robb Young (Herald Tribune, Financial Times und Diptrics), Diane Pernet, Mandi Lennard (PR: Gareth Pugh, Cassette Playa, POP), Hermann Frankhauser (Wendy & Jim), Joseph Quartana (Head Buyer Seven New York), hereby leaving competitors from various scandinavian countries behind.

Andersen says about her fashion:
“I am in constant battle with the lack of fantasy in the adult world so i try to emphasize that conflict in my collections. The naive and sometimes a bit romantic designs get a certain edge when placed in contrast with reality.

Along with the +46 Award Andersen has won a catwalk show where she has the opportunity to present her collection to a larger audience. The show will take place on August 16, 2007 in Stockholm during +46.

+46 is the Stockholm based tradeshow for progressive fashion, that will take place from Aug 16 -18.2007.
